VIN Locations on Newmar Coaches and Chassis

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) LOCATIONS - FORD CHASSIS

This article provides the locations of the documented Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inside and outside of a coach built on a Ford chassis. Newmar RVs built on Ford chassis are in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen and wardrobe closet.

Additionally, chassis manufactured by Ford have the complete number stamped on a VIN tag located in the front engine compartment.

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) LOCATIONS - FREIGHTLINER (FCCC) CHASSIS

This article provides the locations of the documented Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inside and outside of a coach built on a Freightliner FCCC chassis. Newmar RVs built on Freightliner FCCC chassis are in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe closet.

Additionally, chassis manufactured by Freightliner have the complete VIN stamped on a plate located in the rear engine compartment. The pictures below on the left were taken on a coach equipped with a rear radiator. The pictures below on the right were taken on a coach equipped with a side radiator. On both coach types, the label is accessible through the rear engine door.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe closet.

Additionally, Cascadia chassis manufactured by Freightliner have the complete VIN posted on labels inside the driver and passenger cockpit doors.

The full VIN is also stamped on the driver's side chassis rail in the engine compartment.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe closet.

Additionally, an M2 chassis manufactured by Freightliner has the complete VIN posted on labels inside the driver and passenger cockpit doors and stamped on the chassis frame rail on the driver's side (top of rail) in the engine compartment, and may be partially covered by hoses or wire looms.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe closet.

Additionally, S2 chassis manufactured by Freightliner have the complete VIN posted on the firewall and stamped on the top of the chassis frame rail (driver's side) in the engine compartment, and may be covered by hoses or wire looms.

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) LOCATIONS - SPARTAN CHASSIS

This article provides the locations of the documented Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inside and outside of a coach built on a Spartan chassis. Newmar RVs built on Spartan chassis are in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Newmar's primary tamper-proof label is located behind the driver's seat on the wall panel. In addition to the chassis VIN that is permanently affixed to the unit behind the driver's seat on the column, the chassis VIN is also located on labels on the entry door, as well as in the kitchen and wardrobe closet.

Note: Newer King Aires have a VIN sticker on the retractable screen instead of the entry door.

Additionally, chassis manufactured by Spartan have the last five digits of the VIN stamped on the chassis in four locations: once on the main chassis frame rail behind the steering axle tires, both passenger and drivers’ side, and the same behind the drive axle tires.
